To send a card or not is the question. With social media it's easy to send well wishes, but how long do these memories last? Many parents, like my mother, are from the generation where you always sent a card or a hand written note. So, happy she did. She had a tradition. She saved the first birthday card she sent to me as a child.

Then, every year she would cross off the previous year and list the current year. She still purchased a new card.

As I was cleaning, I found the 10 cent card from Hallmark. It's a piece of my history - oh no! - I'm history now!
