[ TableGlamour : Spring ]

April showers bring spring flowers. It's time to start bringing the outside in.

Daffodils, daffodils, daffodils.  The trumpet flowers announce the spring.

Yellow is a soothing color, the color of the sunshine to come. Adding gold as an accent enhances the warm look.

Crystal is the window that reflects the sunlight on your table.

Compliment with something french blue. Blue adds a speck of coolness to the table signifying that winter is leaving. Blue is liked by 80% of the population.

Start with gold chargers, and add yellow lettuce leaf plates from Portugal. The bread and butter plates are antique Wedgewood Queensware blue on white. Then, antique etched crystal pedestal intermezzo/sorbet cups are added. These can hold tea lights, or used for a very light first course tasting, for example, cold soup.

Daffodils are a sign of Spring. Use them for your centerpiece, and anywhere you can find that decor. If you are really daffy on daffodils, check out Daffodil Weekend scheduled in April on Nantucket

Love glassware! Mix your collection of stemware. The flutes are contemporary Mikasa, the water goblets and the martini-like glasses are vintage. Vintage can be found at flea markets, second hand shops, and garage sales. IIt is more interesting when you mix it up. It's all in the sparkle.
