[ Thanksgiving in Boston ]

New England is a great place to celebrate Thanksgiving, and what better place than Boston. The requests have been for simplicity, and a harvest table. Found this harvest table is set in the heart of Boston.

This table is so beautiful that minimal linens is a must. Use ribbons for your table runner.  Here is the 4 inch country check ribbon from Mackenzie-Childs, and is bordered with an apple green gauze ribbon.

To encourge conversation, the centerpiece is kept low and runs the lenght of the table. White pumpkins are combined with gold glitter pine cones and azalea greens. Mackenzie-Childs Country Check enamelware cups, vintage sherry glasses and demi-tasse cups hold the greens.

A favorite of mine is the re-use of vintage glassware. Down the length of the table are various shapes, styles and sizes of vintage port and cordial glasses. Each one holds a tea light.  You can also put floating candles in them. Vintage glasses are a great flea market find. Mix and match the shapes and patterns, but keep the weight of the glass consistent.

The place setting is a neutral white dinner plate on a gold charger. The theme is carried through with the black napkins and check ribbon ties.

Happy Thanksgiving and Bon Appetit!
