[ Easter Tablescapes ]

Easter is the essential of the beginning of Spring. Spring flowers, pastel colors, sunny days (we wish for), and smiles on little one's faces, and maybe a new outfit! It's been a tradition in my family, that we all come together, for good food, egg hunts, and sweets. When the children were little, we had a routine. Decorate the eggs the day before. HIde the plastic eggs filled with jelly beans, chocolate eggs, pennies and sometimes quarters! Family is all scattered, but many come and join in the festivites. Now, their children participate in the activities.  The egg hunt may include a bottle of champagne, for an adult hunt! It's all about tradition and creating memories.

I wonder if bunnies can hear better than me. I know that some little children can. Which brings me to the this Easter tablescape. I found these Cynthia Rowly* dish towels at Home Goods, and thought perfect for those who need "large" napkins. They are adorable!

When it's time to start thinking about your Easter table, many ideas run thru your mind.  For many years, my sister hosted. It was a gathering with the cousins. Several years ago, I hosted and did a "chick" theme, that is baby chicks, chocolate eggs and lots of yellow.

This tablescape it's about bunnies.

It will be brunch at my house this year. I have many great items that I want to incorporate into my tablescape but need to visualize the ideas prior to making a decision. First, I’m focusing on the adult table. I want to use my Italian green lettuce plates, which screams a bunny theme.   I started with light blue linen tablecloth.  Although using the paper runners is a thought, linen is a softer traditional look.

Set your talbe with daffodils, The color yellow reminds me of the sun. Daffodils sprining up is a sign that the sunny days of spring and summer are near. What better way to set your table than over the top with yellow daffodils....go big or go home!
