[ Jeweled Glad Forgotten Floral ]

My grandmother’s favorite flower was the gladiola. Not sure why it was her favorite flower. This sword like lily is the flower of those born in August, which she was, or was it just her old fashion way. The blossom are like jewels on a stem frequently seen as a bunch in a tall vase.

My obsession with garlands, got the better of me. They make a perfect vertical display. Plus, I was looking for a fuchsia floral to use with the placemats.

Centerpiece: Old piece of wooden beam hollowed out for candles or flowers. Perfect background for the fuchsia blossoms.

Place Setting: Same Italian plates with leaf salad plates.
