[ What Skeleton's R on Your Table? ]

Elegant Skeletons

Imagine adding sparkle to your table with a skeleton skull! Let's take the sparkle theme and add glamour, silver and skulls! Seems to me there is a focus on skeletons this season, so they are easy to find. This is the first of a series on skeletons on your table. These tables are dedicated to an international YSL make artist - you know who you are - who inspired me to work with skeletons!

Centerpiece; Stark white hydrangeas, roses and dahlias present and elegant formal look. Adding mini lights to a mercury glass skull atop a white birch stump silently says, "Join me." I alternated between the skull or for more elegance, add a white mini pumpkin.

Speaking of white birch, I added mini birch stumps to elevate the skeleton tea lights. More about tea lights in another post.

Place Setting: Needed a little piece of fall, so I added the straw charges. I searched the china closet for sparkly, and discovered the New Year's Ever silver plates. Perfect! To provide more glamour, my go to MacKenzie Childs Courtly Check salad plates.

Linens: As an added touch, I found tea towels at Westfield, NJ Farmhouse Store. My plan was to use them as napkins. Placing them end to end they made a great runner.

Invite your guests. My guest is my favorite formal skeleton. He is great male company, he listens and never talks back!

Happy Halloween!
