[ Cookies and Cheer! ]
Need a venue for friends and families with children?
A cookies and cheer party is so much fun. With all the hustle that comes with the holidays, it’s very pleasant to spend an afternoon with your friends and the children or teens. It’s a time to get dressed up, and spread some cheer. At one party, the table was set with scrumptious thumbprint cookies, but they were missing some chocolate kiss centers. Also missing was my 3 year old. We found him positioned under the dining room table. From his position he was able to take the chocolate kiss off the thumbprint cookie, and then place the cookie back on the tray aka no chocolate kiss!
Cookies can be freshly backed or purchased fresh from a bakery. The beverages can be light; punch, white wine or champagne, and coffee, tea, hot coco, or box juices.
Set the Table: The rustic glamour theme is created using the white birch logs, and a metal twig tree. The glamour was upped a notched with a milk glass punch bowl.
Choose a Place Setting: Use a dessert set of a cup and sauce to hold your cookies and your drink. These cup and saucer sets were popular in the 1950’s but they can be of great use today. You can easily find these at thrift stores.
Add a Personal Touch: DIY holiday drink charms. Use key tags on the cups enscribed with holiday words. HO! HO! HAVE A MERRY!
