[Sail into July 4th]
Living by the water, what better way to celebrate the 4th of July, then with a red, white and blue
boating theme. Whether your boat is a sail or motor boat, kayak, or rubber raft, bring the boat to the table.
This was so much fun to pull together.
Let's start with the linens! a patriotic stripped table cloth combined with monogrammed "dish towels". I thought these would be so much fun to have one for each of our family. We will use these for years to come!
Place Setting: I have collected the sailboat plates, which are very inexpensive china, and used these as the main dish. Of course we have to have "crackers". After all,it is a fire cracker celebration. We didn't have a place to hang the garland, so we used each tassel for a napkin ring.
Centerpiece: We just love hydrangeas this time of year. We added our boating "guys", and a "sea urchin" sculpture. Lots of cut out stars, and glitter. The children just love the glitter.
Tea Lights: My favorite table accessory. Add a themed tea light to a vintage sherbet or port glass.
POP: To add some more fun, the little ones made Rice Krispie pops.
Happy Fourth of July!
